Born in Madrid in October 15th 1983, he discovers the piano at the age of six, studying in an autodidactic way until he enrolled for the first time in the conservatory “Joaquin Turina” in Madrid when he was 18. In 2005 he moves to Holland to study Jazz Piano at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
In May 2011 he graduates and receives the Jazz Piano Master Degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with the mark of “9’5”. In June of 2009 he graduates at the Rotterdam Conservatorium and obtains the Bachelor Degree of Jazz Piano with the mark of ‘10’.
Since September 2005, when he decides to move to Holland, he has recieved lessons from pianists like Frans Elsen, Peter Beets, Juraj Stanik, Kris Goessens, Jasper Soffers, etc…, being Rob van Bavel his main mentor. During his stay in Holland, he has toured with different bands in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia and Russia. Later he got to tour in Thailand, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and South America. In February 2011, he moved to New York for three months in order to continue his jazz development and knowledge. He studied with Aaron Goldberg, Dave Kikoski, Bruce Barth, Kenny Werner, Fred Hersch and Sophia Rossoff. In 2010 he got the most prestigious scholarship in The Netherlands (“Huygens Program” by Nuffic). As a teacher, in 2014 he took part of Jazz Summer School in Korea and Indonesia, teaching Piano, Combos and giving Master-Classes.
Currently he is actively working in the dutch jazz scene as a leader of his own band, but also as a side-man for many musicians highlighting the Ben Van Den Dungen Quartet, the Benjamin Herman Quartet and the Maarten Hogenhuis Quartet. Two of his most important concerts as a side-man were In 2014 when he played with Branford Marsalis at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam and with the quintet of Willie Jones III.
